Motek 2024: Four days full of innovation, inspiration and intensive discussions — Assemblio says thank you!
What a trade fair experience! Assemblio had its own stand at the Motek trade fair in Stuttgart from October 8 to 11, 2024. We look back with pride and gratitude on four days, which were marked by exciting meetings, top-class panels and a lively exchange about the future of assembly planning.
A strong signal from the industry: Digitalization meets practice
For years, Motek has been one of the most central trade fairs for assembly automation and industrial manufacturing in the Ländle region and in 2024 it was more relevant than ever. The digital transformation of assembly, the use of AI and the question of how production processes can be made more intelligent, networked and efficient were at the center of many discussions.
Our highlight: The panels with strong voices from research and industry
A particular highlight was our panels, where experts from science, industry and politics spoke together with the Assemblio team about the future of assembly:
- “Automating the Automation” with Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thomas Bauernhansl (Fraunhofer IPA) and Dr. Alexander Neb (Assembly): An exciting exchange about production systems and the next level of industrial automation.
- “From PLM to ERP: the MBOM problem” with Prof. Dr.-Ing. Martin Eigner, Matthias Schmich (Siemens) and Dr. Jens Popper (Assembly): A deep dive into the world of consistent data models.
- “The role of the EU in promoting Industry 4.0” with Dr. Petra Püchner (Steinbeis Europe Center), Tim Gegg (Mätch VC) and Dr. Alexander Neb (Assembly). How the political framework and economic reality come together.
- “Innovation through cooperation” with René Leroux (bott), Tim Gegg (Mätch VC) and Dr. Alexander Neb (Assemblio): Why the future of manufacturing lies in strong partnerships.
- “Use of digital technologies from idea to recycling” with Prof. Dr.-Ing. Faruk Civelek (DHBW Heidenheim) and Dr.-Ing. Jens Popper (Assembly): Sustainability across the entire product life cycle
- “Human-robot collaboration as a key technology” with Dr.-Ing. Werner Kraus (Fraunhofer IPA), Armin Barnitzke (automation practice) and Dr. Alexander Neb (assembly): About collaborative automation in assembly.
- “Production and assembly planning of the future” with Matthias Kellermann (ipolog) and Dr. Alexander Neb (Assembly): Visions and technologies for the next generation of digital manufacturing.
On every day of the fair, Assemblio offered panels with deep professional exchange and an open view of the challenges and opportunities of modern production.
Hands-on innovation: Our exhibition stand as an experience area
Anyone who visited our stand was also able to experience Assemblio live: In short demos, our team showed how digital assembly planning works in practice: efficient, flexible and user-friendly. From building a small fan to simulating complex assembly processes: Visitors were able to experience Assemblio's solutions live on site!
We were particularly pleased with the many intensive discussions with existing and potential customers and the valuable feedback that we were able to take away.
What remains?
The certainty that digital assembly processes are by no means a reality for companies. But that automation, AI and consistent data models are no longer visions of the future, but offer concrete solutions to current challenges. And that events like Motek are just the right place to shape this future together.
